Melissa Kalan is the CEO and founder of the Australian Revenue Management Association (ARMA), providing specialised online education programs for the hospitality industry, academia, and member services.
A well-respected business and commercial leader, Melissa has developed many innovative products for the industry and successfully consulted on revenue generation projects for a large number of organisations.
She gained government accreditation for and wrote the first online VET short course in revenue and yield management, developed the online globally recognised higher education degree – Graduate Certificate of Revenue Management in a commercial partnership with Torrens University Australia, founded the annual APAC Revenue Management Summit, and developed YIELDMAX® – a game-changing revenue and yield management training tool for academia. She also negotiated to have Revenue Managers recognised for the first time at the annual and prestigious HM Awards and has recently published her first book drawing on her extensive public speaking experience titled “How to Conquer Your Fear and Boost Your Credibility”.
Melissa has also been appointed to the Governance Board (Australia) of Global Women Connect (GWC) in the capacity of CEO. GWC is a not-for-profit and recognised as a charitable institution in Hong Kong and Australia.
